Abstract
The status of process flow-injection analysis (FIA) is presented and t he maintenance issue which is restricting the broader use of FIA in pr ocess analysis is discussed. Miniaturization, which is one of the poss ible solutions to the maintenance problem, is described in detail with an example application illustrating the determination of total alkali nity by flow-injection titration technique.
