Abstract
A transverse lower uterine incision was made at cesarean section in 79 term patients with a singleton fetus in a transverse lie. The mean Ap gar score was 9.5 (SD 0.8). One infant sustained a fractured femur, an d another had a torticollis. In no case did the incision extend into t he uterine vessels.
