Abstract
The miniaturized total chemical analysis system is a concept for on-li ne monitoring involving classical analytical techniques and photolitho graphically defined microstructures. Examples of glass microstructures for electrophoresis are given. The results obtained indicate a dramat ically reduced reagent consumption, faster separations and access to n ovel types of analysis techniques.
