Abstract
The different forms to increase the analytical signal, defined as enla rgement, addition and enhancement, are discussed. Also, the scattering produced on the luminescent emission measurement using the methodolog ies to achieve this increase are analyzed. This effect is related to s ome of the performance characteristics of analytical methods such as s ensitivity and detection limit.
