Abstract
Two cases of meningioma and glioma established in biopsy material from one or more than one operation are reported. In these cases, an origi nally benign meningioma was followed by the development of anaplastic astrocytoma in close juxtaposition to the site of first operation. The close juxtaposition of two histologically different tumors suggested that one of them might lead to local proliferation and independent gro wth of the other.
