Abstract
This report contains nineteen new records of marine algae from Mauriti us (Indian Ocean). Data concerning ecological distribution and biogeog raphy of the species is presented, with some descriptions and figures of the most interesting plants: Chondria armata Okamura, Chondria dang eardii Dawson, Eupogodon pilosus (Weber-van Bosse) Silva, Tolypiocladi a calodictyon (Harvey ex Kutzing) Silva, and Ulva reticulata Forsskal.
