Abstract
2',3'-Cyclosulphate derivatives of inosine and adenosine were synthesi zed by the action of sulphuryl chloride on N,O-benzoyl nucleosides in the presence of triethylamine. Reactions of nucleophilic substitution of the sulphate group led to fluoro and azido derivatives of the nucle osides, which, according to the H-1- and F-19-NMR spectra, are 3'-subs tituted 3'-deoxyxylofuranosides.
