Abstract
The alpha-amino group of the title compound, C7H16N5O4+.Cl-, is positi vely charged; the nitroguanidinium moiety remains neutral. All atoms i n the nitroguanidinium group are nearly coplanar. The side chain of th e molecule consists of two planar groups which intersect almost perpen dicularly at C-delta.
