Abstract
beta-(2-Arylaminoethoxy)styrenes undergo cyclization in the presence o f KOH to give N-aryl-2-benzyioxazolidines in ca. 90 % yield. The struc tures of the products were confirmed by IR and NMR spectroscopy.
