Founded by H. Hecaen in 1963, <<Neuropsychologia>> is an international
interdisciplinary journal focusing on the analysis of disorders of pe
rcepcion, memory, thought, and language resulting from injury or disea
se of the central nervous system. In this study, a bibliometric analys
is of <<Neuropsychalogia>> (1990-1995) is presented. The main findings
were as follows: Papers. In the period examined a total of 599 articl
es distributed into 67 issues have been published. The average number
of articles/issues was 9. Collaboration and productivity of authors. T
otal signatures of authors was 1909. The average number of authors/art
icle was 3.20. From 51 most productive authors (with four or more arti
cles between 1990 and 1995), althoug almost 60% have carried out their
investigations in european laboratories, is the canadian B. Milner (w
ith 16 papers), by far, the most productive author. Thematic categorie
s. Among the 9 categories considered, a predominance of papers related
to perceptual/recognition disorders (25.37%), mainly in patients with
neglect, as well as experimental studies on lateralization, asymmetri
es and hemispheric specialization (22.87%), is observed. These themati
c categories include almost half of the 599 articles examined (48.24%)
