Ab. Prishchepenko, A DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE INDUCTANCE OF THE WINDING OF A COIL EXPLOSION MAGNETIC GENERATOR, Instruments and experimental techniques, 37(4), 1994, pp. 429-430
The device was designed to make static measurements when a coil is sho
rt circuited by an expanding armature. Oscillations are excited by a s
hock in a high-Q circuit including this winding, and their period is d
etermined on an oscilloscope screen. Windings with diameters of 30 mm
or more can be studied. The measured inductances range from several te
ns of henry (to within approximately 0.1%) down to several nanohenry (
with a lower accuracy).
