Abstract
A new calcium hydrogenurate hydrate of the composition Ca(C5H3N4O3)(2) (H2O)(3) has been prepared via Ca(C5H3N4O3)(2)L(3), L = (CH3)(2)SO, (C H3)(2)NCHO complexes. Air stable substance is thermally, structurally, and spectroscopically different from the only known calcium hydrogenu rate hydrate phase, [Ca(H2O)(6)](C5H3N4O3)(2). The characterization of calcium hydrogenurate trihydrate might help in recognition of calcium hydrogenurate hydrates in renal calculi because its presence has not yet been explicitly confirmed.
