Catalytic dehydrocondensation of dihydroorganocyclotetra(hexa)siloxane
s with dihydroxyorganocyclotetra(hexa)siloxanes in the presence of pla
tinochlorohydric acid on anhydrous powder-like caustic potassium has b
een studied. High-molecular weight organosilicon polycyclic copolymers
with bead-like structure having coclotetra- and cyclohexasiloxane fra
gments in the chain and completely insoluble in organic solvents were
synthesized. Reaction order, activation energies and dehydrocondensati
on rate constants were found. Thermogravimetric, thermomechanical and
X-ray studies of the synthesized polymers were carried out.
