The issue of success measurement for cooperations is analyzed from a s
ituational and objectives-based point of view. Objectives for the coop
eration are divided into economical, technological and people-oriented
dimensions. An explorative study is used for identifying these object
ives. They can be either project or relationship oriented. In comparin
g the objectives of multiple partners, four cases of relationship of p
artners' objectives are distinguished. Possible implications for succe
ss measurement are discussed and areas for future research are address
ed.
