Abstract
In this work the large deformation stress properties of elastomers are used in extension as a basis for modelling blend behaviour This model ling procedure is applied in NR/MQ elastomer blend, in which a dispers ed phase (MQ) is of lower modulus than the matrix (NR). The phases are mechanically coupled in a simple parallel manner. The modelling techn ique showed that curative migration increases the modulus of the NR ph ase by a factor of one and half.
