The spatial characteristics of the output radiation of planar gas lase
rs having different cavity schemes (one-dimensional unstable telescopi
c configuration, coherent multichannel cavity, and a scheme filtering
a high-order transverse mode) are calculated. The theoretical results
agree with the experimental data available in the literature. The depe
ndences of the energy light intensity on the angular width of the outp
ut beam for the considered cavity configurations are determined. The o
btained results enable us to determine the energy concentration that c
an be provided by each of the configurations for different types of la
ser systems with arbitrary geometric sizes of the active medium.
