Abstract
A compact high-peak-power Ti:sapphire laser system that produces 26-fs , 340-mJ pulses at a repetition rate of 10 Hz has been developed. The spectrum was controlled and broadened by two monolayer etalons in a re generative amplifier, and a stretcher-compressor system based on the O ffner triplet with two cylindrical mirrors and two gratings enabled hi gh-efficiency energy extraction and the generation of nearly transform -limited pulses.
