M. Vanickova et al., PERFORMANCE OF THE NAFION-COATED MERCURY FILM ELECTRODE IN THE DETERMINATION OF HEAVY-METALS IN SAMPLES CONTAINING SURFACTANTS, Chemia Analityczna, 39(5), 1994, pp. 615-622
Influence of nafion membranes of various thickness on performance of t
he mercury film electrode in the differential-pulse anodic stripping v
oltammetric determination of copper, lead, and cadmium, in the presenc
e of nonionic and ionic surfactants, has been investigated. The modifi
ed electrode eliminates, at least partly, the interference from surfac
tants up to their concentration of 100 ppm, in particulate for lead an
d cadmium. The results of determination of heavy metals in acidic extr
acts of sludges from biological waste water treatment and soils and in
waste waters are presented and compared with those obtained by ICP OE
S.
