Abstract
The synergic extraction of iron(II) was carried out with 2-thenoyltrif luoroacetone (Htta) and trioctylphosphine oxide (topo) into heptane. T he extracted species was considered to be Fe(tta)2(topo) and Fe(tta)2( topo)2, and the synergic extraction constants were obtained. The subst oichiometric extraction of iron(II) was first attained in the above ex traction system within 30 min. Its reproducibility was high (RSD 1.0%) in the Fe2+ range of 18.7-192 mug.
