FELINE VIRAL PANLEUKOPENIA

The object of this review article is to summarise present day knowledg e concerning viral panleukopenia is the cat. The epidemiological, path ological and clinical characteristics as well as the lesions seen are explained by the properties of the feline parvovirus. After a summary of the treatment used for the classical form of the disease (there is no treatment for the ataxic from), the principles on which medical pro phylaxis is based are recalled and the vaccines available in France ar e indicated.
