Wmmj. Bovee et al., QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN IN-VIVO NMR-SPECTROSCOPY .2. A PROTOCOL FOR QUALITY ASSESSMENT, Magnetic resonance imaging, 13(1), 1995, pp. 123-129
A protocol has been developed for quality assessment in in vivo NMR sp
ectroscopy (MRS) on whole body and animal systems. The protocol, which
has been evaluated in a series of international trials, defines proce
dures, objects and substances to evaluate the localisation of common s
lice and volume selection sequences, and to assess other relevant aspe
cts of system performance, including: signal-to-noise; signal loss; re
lation between signal strength, concentration and volume; selective su
ppression of spectral lines; spectrometer stability.
