Abstract
The transients in the decoders of color TV sets based on the SECAM, NT SC and PAL systems due to the transmission of components of the bright ness signal spectrum through the bandpass filter at the decoder input are analyzed in the case of rapid considerable transitions of the brig htness signal from one level to another, which produces undesirable co lored edgings in the picture on the screen of the TV set.
