L. Weissflog et al., IMMISSION PATTERNS OF AIRBORNE POLLUTANTS IN ARGENTINA AND GERMANY .1. RESULTS OF A HEAVY-METAL BIOMONITORING, Fresenius environmental bulletin, 3(12), 1994, pp. 728-733
Immission patterns of airborne heavy metals have been analyzed using n
eedles of three different pine species in the areas of Great-Mendoza,
Argentina and Leipzig-Halle, Germany. The one- and two-year-old needle
s were sampled in April/May 1994 in Argentina and January/February 199
2 in Germany, respectively. The results as discussed using principal c
omponent analysis show both similarities and distinct differences betw
een the immission patterns, which can be traced back to natural condit
ions as well as anthropogenic sources.
