Abstract
A case of atmospheric chromium contamination from galvanic factories n ear Bologna (Italy), is reported. Lolium multiflorum in pots as biolog ical accumulators and neutron activation analysis were used. Data conf irm that chromium uptake preferentially occurs through leaves rather t han via the root system.
