Abstract
Oslerus osleri is a metastrongle whose first-stage larvae are expector ated by the bitch, and which are infecting for pups; few cases are des cribed from France. The biological features of this parasite, diagnosi s and therapy are described in a first bibliographic part. 29 of 66 do gs examined were infected with Oslerus osleri. We investigated the cau se of their chronic coughing, which was not cured by routine therapies . Several diagnostic methods were used, of which endoscopy was the bes t. The following drugs were used io treat infection with Oslerus osler i : ivermectin, levamisole, oxfendazole acid fenbendazole. The last-me ntioned two drugs ore safe for dogs and very effective against this pa rasite.
