EXPERIMENTAL-DETERMINATION OF THE PARTIAL ENTHALPIES OF MIXING OF LEAD AND TELLURIUM IN LIQUID PB-TE MELTS

The partial molar enthalpies of Pb and Te at high dilution in Pb-Te me lts have been measured by direct reaction calorimetry (drop method) wi th the help of a Tian-Calvet high temperature calorimeter, in the 800- 100K temperature range. They show only very weak temperature dependenc e. The values of the interaction parameters were also deduced. The res ults obtained will be used to compare the different models available f or strongly interacting liquid alloys.
