Abstract
Heat transfer in the hydromagnetic flow of a compressible Newtonian fl uid, between a moving impermeable plate and a stationary naturally per meable bed, is investigated in the presence of a transverse magnetic f ield. The effects of the permeability and magnetic field on the veloci ty and temperature field are commented on, taking the viscous heating and Ohmic dissipation into consideration.
