Abstract
A new type of electromagnetic valve used for adjusting cryogenic tempe ratures and mass flows has been developed. A permanent magnet provides the field and the continuous adjustment is achieved by moving an elec tric coil together with its connected valve pin. The performance of th e valve was measured in liquid nitrogen and liquid helium. In this pap er, the structure of the valve is described and measured results are r eported
