A. Segal et T. Miloh, NOVEL 3-DIMENSIONAL DIFFERENTIAL GAME AND CAPTURE CRITERIA FOR A BANK-TO-TURN MISSILE, Journal of guidance, control, and dynamics, 17(5), 1994, pp. 1068-1074
The formulation and solution of a new pursuit-evasion differential gam
e are presented in this paper. Considering the game as a ''game of kin
d,'' in Isaacs' terminology, capture criteria are established in terms
of the game parameters for a faster bank-to-turn pursuer engaging a s
lower but more maneuverable evader in three-dimensional space. This pa
per covers the range of players' speed ratio for which the barrier sur
face is of the ''classical'' type, i,e., with tangential termination o
n the target set.
