Abstract
Four organometallic thio-Schiff base ligands derived from ferrocene of general formula C(5)H(5)FeC(5)H(4)CR = NNHCSSR' (R = H or Me, R' = Me or CH,Ph) (HL), and their copper(II) chelates [CuL(2)] and [Cu(HL)(2) ]Cl-2, were prepared and characterized by physicochemical and spectros copic methods. The thio-Schiff bases act as bidentate ligands and coor dinate to copper(II) in the enolic form in EtOH and in the keto form i n THF.
