Aa. Chahine et al., MANAGEMENT OF CONGENITAL DISTAL ESOPHAGEAL STENOSIS WITH COMBINED COLLIS GASTROPLASTY NISSEN FUNDOPLICATION, Pediatric surgery international, 10(1), 1995, pp. 23-25
Surgical resection for the treatment of congenital distal esophageal s
tenosis due to tracheobronchial remnants is sometimes complicated by e
sophageal shortening and gastroesophageal reflux. We propose the combi
ned operation of Collis gastroplasty and Nissen fundoplication to prev
ent these complications. It can be safely performed through an abdomin
al approach.
