Md. Deoliveira et Pd. Vieira, EFFECT OF STOCKING TIMES ON CHEMICAL-COMP OSITION OF HYDROLISED SUGARCANE BAGASSE, Pesquisa agropecuaria brasileira, 29(9), 1994, pp. 1469-1473
In this trial the chemical composition of hidrolised sugarcane bagasse
was studied by means of a completely randomized design with four trea
tments and six replications. The treatments consisted of bagasse stock
ed for 0; 15; 30 and 45 days periods. Stocking period did not affect (
P>0.05) nitrogen free extract and organic matter (OM) levels. Stocking
for 45 days increased dry matter (DM) and decreased ether extract (EE
). The results of chemical composition were: 41.82; 43.71; 46.31 and 5
5.09%, DM (P<0.01); 1.37; 1.50; 1.44 and 2.24, crude protein (Cp), (P<
0.01); 35.32; 34.61; 35.46 and 38.23%, crude fiber (CF), (P<0.01); 5.1
6; 4.71; 3.61 and 3.19%, EE (P<001) and 4272.45; 3975.33; 4020.02 and
4049.85 kcal/kg DM (P<0.05), when hidrolised sugarcane bagasse was sto
cked for 0; 15; 30 and 45 days, respectively.
