V. Stolla et al., SUBCUTANEOUS METASTASES AFTER CELIOSCOPIC LYMPHADENECTOMY FOR VESICALUROTHELIAL CARCINOMA, European urology, 26(4), 1994, pp. 342-343
The authors report an exceptional case of subcutaneous metastatic diss
emination, located at the puncture points of a coelioscopic lymphadene
ctomy for a vesical urothelial carcinoma. Few cases of parietal metast
asis have been described after coelioscopic check-up for gynaecologica
l and digestive tumours. The onset of this new type of serious complic
ation suggests a need to reassess the benefits of this technique in tu
mours with lymphatic invasion.
