Abstract
The softwares developed in Space Physics Laboratory, VSSC, Trivandrum, for processing the MST radar data are described. The software was eva luated using simulated data typical of the data from the Indian MST ra dar. Using this software, the data acquired from the Indian MST radar in its ST mode of operation during 15-16 Feb. 1992 were processed and the results are presented. The six sets of data, each of duration 45-7 0 min, obtained at 4 hourly intervals were used to study the stable la yers near the tropopause and at 7-8 km height. The early results on th e tidal wind components in the lower troposphere (<8 km) are also pres ented.
