RESULTS FROM ZEUS ON DEEP-INELASTIC SCATTERING AND PHOTOPRODUCTION ATHERA

We summarize the results on deep inelastic scattering and photoproduct ion from ZEUS, one of the two detectors at the HERA electron-proton co llider. At the deep-inelastic-scattering regime, we report on a measur ement of the proton structure function F-2. We discuss jet production and the observation of a new class of events with a large rapidity gap between the struck quark and the proton. In the photoproduction regim e, we present evidence for hard-scattering processes and jet productio n, in particular in resolved photon processes.
