Abstract
Rod-like hydroxyapatite was synthesized by precipitating calcium nitra te tetrahydrate and ammonium dibase phosphate in the presence of polya crylic acid followed by hydrothermal treatment. Both polyacrylic acid and the hydrothermal treatment stabilised the hydroxyapatite.
