Abstract
Derivative optical transmission spectra at the indirect absorption edg e of SiGe bulk crystals were measured for the determination of composi tion and homogeneity. The positions of the thresholds of phonon-assist ed and no-phonon transitions were evaluated. The samples can be unpoli shed or uneven.
