The Videotex communications network now supports a communication speed
of 2,400/2,400 bit/s facilitating the use of personal computers in pl
ace of the Videotex terminal. This ability eliminates previous restric
tions that prevented the number of terminals from increasing in the pa
st, and we expect the Videotex communications network to grow graduall
y in the years to come. This paper describes examples of new functions
made possible by the above and new customer needs in Videotex.
