Abstract
Seven agricultural farms in conversion process have been evaluated in production and economy over three years. The aims were to analyse the complexity of conversion process and to show differences between middl eterm aims of farm development and the actual development. The educati on, preferences for specific productions, the technical condition of m achinery and buildings and the farm management in generally, exert a h igh influence on the efficiency of production technic and farm profit in the situation of conversion. Overload in labour appeared in the par t of vegetable production and in the part of marketing. Deficits in fo ddermanagement, conversion of animal housing and deficits (Pressure of weeds, crop pests and diseases) in croprotation were of immediate imp ortance. Conditions between the history of farm and specific deficits in dairy farms and market crop farms could be shown. Five farms reache d as far as possible just in the second year of conversion the economi cal aims. The changement of farm structure could bee finished except o f structural measures in buildings and the realisation of biological p rices for the animal products. The capacity of land aerea, the distanc e to the market as well as common structural deficits, prevent to reac h the planned aims in this two farms. Reasons of conversion deficits w ere named and pointed out to strategies for optimisation.
