Abstract
Salt concentration has a considerable influence on the activity and se lectivity of water-soluble hydroformylation catalysts derived from Rh( acac)(CO)(2) and the sulfonated phosphine, P[C6H4(CH2)(3)C6H4SO3Na](3) ; addition of Na2SO4 or Na2HPO4 to the catalysts enhances the both the rate and selectivity of the hydroformylation reaction.
