Abstract
Numerous modifications of the french legislation occured in the field of infectious diseases since 1990. Many of them are related to the HIV infection. Other forensic aspects, although not directly connected wi th infectious diseases, have a large impact on the common practice. Au thors review the following concepts : occupationnal diseases and indus trial accidents, obligatory notification of some infectious diseases, safety of organ transplants, drug delivery, exemption of the portion o f the cost of treatment paid by the insured, prophylaxis of some conta gious diseases, vaccinations, safety of blood transfusion, biomedical research and ''Drug Agency'', prenuptial, antenatal and postnatal comp ulsory tests, HIV infection (screening, compensation, insurability), p sychiatric hospitalization, nurse professional rules, ''Hospital Law'' , technical assessment, coding, patient medical file, medical referenc es, advantages consented to physicians. Medico-economical appraisal cl early emerges in some current measures.
