Abstract
Geotrupes pinalonensis, new species, from Cerro El Pinalon in the Sier ra de las Minas range in Guatemala is described and illustrated. The s pecies belongs in the subgenus Cnemotrupes Jekel and has the most sout hern range of any species in the subgenus.
