European Economic Area since January Ist, 1995, Standards have gained
in importance, especially as manufacturers can use harmonized standar
ds in order to fulfil essential requirements, There are a vast number
of international, European and national standards available in the fie
ld of anaesthesia, intensive care and emergency medicine too, We have
systematically listed the presently valid standards and those in prepa
ration for pneumatically and electronically controlled devices (access
oires incl.) for anaesthesia related fields, as well as those for inst
allations in medically used rooms.
