Abstract
Complexes of the type [Ru(C5H5)Cl{(PPh(2))(2)C=CH2}] undergo Michael-t ype addition with a diphenylphosphine and the products can be used for further syntheses of heterobimetallic complexes. The uncoordinated ph osphine group of [Ru(C5H5)Cl{(PPh(2))(2)CHCH(2)PPh(2)}] (1) reacts wit h Ir-4(CO)(12) to give mono-, di- and tri-substituted heterobimetallic cluster complexes 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
