The dynamics of autoionizing Rydberg electron wavepackets in molecular
hydrogen are calculated using a multichannel quantum-defect theory (M
QDT) approach. The results of the calculation illustrate how the rotat
ion and vibration of the molecular ion core influence the radial dynam
ics of the Rydberg wavepacket.
