Abstract
Silicon carbide composites are currently being investigated as potenti al fusion energy structural materials in the United States, the Europe an Community and Japan. This paper presents an overview of some of the recent issues regarding the use of this low activation material inclu ding the radiation performance of present day materials and the direct ion towards the development of radiation hardened SiC composites.
