Bn. Anand et al., SYMBIOTIC REACTIONS BETWEEN 5-MEMBERED AND 6-MEMBERED HYPERVALENT SPIROBICYCLIC PHOSPHORANES AND TRANSITION-METAL CARBONYLATES, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. A: Inorganic, physical, theoretical & analytical, 34(1), 1995, pp. 27-30
The nucleophilic substitution reactions of five- and six-membered hype
rvalent phosphorus containing spirobicyclic phosphoranes with metal ca
rbonylates of high nucleophilic character result in the isolation of t
he corresponding metallated phosphoranes. The presence of five- and si
x-membered rings in their structures inhibits the ionising of these co
mpounds into their phosphonium cations in solutions. These have been c
haracterised by elemental analysis, molar conductance and spectroscopi
c (mass and H-1 NMR) and TG studies.
