Abstract
A novel tetranuclear macrocyclic nickel(II) complex [Ni4L(mu-OAc)2(OAc )4(H2O)4] has been synthesized by the condensation of 2, 6-diformyl-4- methylphenol and triethylenetetramine in presence of nickel(II) perchl orate and excess sodium acetate. The complex has been characterized by its UV-vis, IR and FAB mass spectra along with magnetic susceptibilit y and conductivity data.
