Abstract
Metastatic tumour to the tongue is extremely rare. We report a case of renal adenocarcinoma metastasis involving the right side of the base of the tongue with extension to the right vallecula in a 59-year-old m an in which a piece of the metastatic lesion in the tongue was expecto rated and was the first evidence of the primary tumour in the right ki dney. Previously reported cases are reviewed.
