Radiation-induced structural transitions have been found in both model
and commercial alloys of the Fe-Cr system. It was shown that the spec
ific nonequilibrium state of a material is formed due to this transiti
on. The indication of the transition is X-ray effects which show the a
ppearance of the heterogeneity in formerly homogeneous equilibrium str
ucture within some interval of irradiation parameters. Significant and
sometimes anomalously large changes in material properties accompany
the transition to specific nonequilibrium state of the material. As a
result of the transition the unusual ordered microstructures were obse
rved, The features of the nonequilibrium state permit us to identify i
t as the structure which is characteristic for open system.
